KIM DANCING IN THE ICE SCULPT SCENE
LIGHTING
When Kim is inside the house and also outside, the light on her face is glowing and makes her seem warm due to the warm colours (red, yellow and orange.) This suggests shes affectionate, admiring and caring. It could also she that shes meant to be the 'good character' (like an angel.) Inside the house, its obviously artificial light, but when stepping outside theirs a moment of darkness, she then sees Edward again; Her face lights up again. This could suggest that Edward is the light to her heart and when she sees his she feels passion inside.
The light on Edwards face is dark and gloomy which could suggest hes meant to be 'the bad guy' or have 'bad guy' quality's considering hes not considered as 'normal'
The lighting in the scene makes it seem like its a fantasy film, kind of like a dream, which follows on believing that Kim's an angel in Eds view.
I think this scene was purposely put in to show how the two characters relationship has evolved over time and to show the audience that they both feel a 'warm fuzzy feeling' inside towards one another. It romanticizes the moment showing the audience Kim and Edward have a connection
